About

Postures of Praise is a nonprofit Christian ministry dedicated to integrating worship and physical movement into a unified spiritual formation practice. Through guided programs, church partnerships, and community-based classes, we help believers engage their bodies as instruments of prayer, discipline, and praise.

Our programs combine:

  • Scriptural meditation

  • Liturgical posture

  • Strength and endurance training

  • Breath-centered prayer

  • Rhythms of fasting and rest

We serve churches and individuals by providing structured, theologically faithful practices that build physical resilience, spiritual depth, and communal belonging.

Postures of Praise exists to restore embodied worship within the Church by equipping individuals and congregations with biblically grounded movement practices that integrate prayer, strength, endurance, and spiritual formation.

We cultivate worshipful fitness rooted in Scripture, historic Christian tradition, and the theology of the Incarnation — forming believers to love God with heart, soul, mind, and body.

Samantha Stevens

FOUNDER

Sam has been a follower of Christ since the age of three and has spent her life pursuing a deeper understanding of how spiritual growth and intimacy with God lead to true fulfillment, joy, and purpose. Rooted in the belief that all things are made through and for Jesus—including the stewardship of our bodies—she is passionate about integrating faith and physical practice.

With over 20 years of professional movement training and more than a decade of teaching strength and movement across diverse settings, Sam has seen firsthand how the integration of physical movement and prayer can become a powerful expression of worship.

Through Postures of Praise, she brings together fitness, endurance training, contemplative prayer, and biblical theology to equip individuals and congregations with structured, Christ-centered practices. Her vision is to help believers approach fitness and wellness as acts of worship—forming resilient bodies, attentive hearts, and spiritually grounded communities.
